Hello! 

 

I’m James. I live in West Yorkshire with my wife and two amazing children. It is these children that are my primary motivation for trying to create children's books. The world is a vastly different place for children now; more and more elements of the kind of childhood I, and many other people my age, had are being replaced and reshaped by an ever expanding list of  causes; advancing technology, research into children's development, emerging parenting methods and practices etc. 

 

One thing that remains the same; the anchor that draws my entire family together at the end of every day regardless of what has happened, whether it was a good day or a bad day, a school day or a weekend, winter or summer we all sit down together and read a story before bed.

 

I wouldn’t have the first clue about how to contribute in any meaningful way to the other things kids are doing these days. But the one thing I can definitely have a go at is writing fun and enjoyable stories. I love the thought of parents and children spending time together and enjoying one of my stories.

 

I have always had a passion for storytelling and the last 6 years of reading stories with my own children has inspired me to take the leap and try to publish my own. I managed to persuade my very talented mother to utilise her delightful, artistic skillset to create a fun and engaging children's book and, conversely, a sinister and unnerving story for adults, both old and young.

Our journey into the realm of books is only just beginning so it would be lovely if you decide to join us! We're always busy working away on the next instalments and we've got plenty of projects in the works for people of all ages.
